Basically the supreme court just passed a bill so that corporations can spend as much as they want to on political campaigns. This bill was passed 5 to 4, on the argument that corportations should be recognized as individual people and the laws that have been established for almost a century that limit what a corporation can spend on a campaign is breaking the corporation’s first amendment rights to freedom of speech.

This means that corporations can fund advertising for whatever agenda they want to push and “donate” as much money as they want in doing so. President Obama is quoted in the NY Times article saying that this bill being passed is, “a major victory for big oil, Wall Street banks, health insurance companies and the other powerful interests that marshal their power every day in Washington to drown out the voices of everyday Americans.”

This is not good for Obama’s campaign and will greatly effect him in the next election since many of his policies are against big corporations and for regular Americans. This as you all know, greatly effects all of us. Corporations now have an even stronger say in our health care, our environment, our grandparents, our education, our taxes, all in the name of themselves and their bottom line, yeesh…. so PLEASE tell everyone you know about this, and get yourselves educated. This is a big deal and the first step to change is awareness!

I love my iPhone, buut.....
...the Google phone is sooooo sexy, I'm forced to spread the word.

INTRODUCING: The "Google Phone" (Nexus One).

I like both adverts but Apple's video is so much easier to digest.
At the time no one had seen anything like the iPhone so it needed more explanation. Apple made every statement concise and potent.

Google has the advantage of introducing their phone to a market that already knows what a smart phone is capable of. They crammed a ton of information into this short video in an elegant way without words.
