All The Single Babies - Cory Dances to Beyonce

Cory Dancing to Beyonce. 5,000,000 views + Donations to send Cory to college

"The huge popularity of this video, a baby dancing to a Beyonce (beyonce) song, is channeling ad revenue and donations into his college fund. This quick reaction to a YouTube hit shows us the toddler’s dad has moves of his own — something sluggish advertisers can learn from."

Mend

MEND: Aromorach Monica from MEND on Vimeo.

awesome
The Mend Campaign, and one I'm more familiar with, the Bracelet Campaign, are really where I see a future in sustainable foreign aide from NGOs. When I was at the IC office the summer before this, my friend was showing me around and telling me everything going on. When we got to the bracelet campaign office I was really impressed. They are really giving people an opportunity to make money and start their own lives. The thing that is best about it, is unlike a factory/sweatshop, where they employ a ton of people, paying them just enough to get by, in bad conditions, the people at bracelet campaign are getting paid enough to get by and a little more. With that money the women can leave the bracelet campaign and start their own venture to make money. The woman in this video apparently bought pigs she can sell, but another group of women through the bracelet campaign have started their own loan company in their village! And now they are helping other people in their community get some money to get back on their feet again. So not only are these people empowering themselves, empowering their neighbors, they're also giving their families a start by sending them to school! And while schools in Northern Uganda are certainly not the most encouraging places, it's far better to try and get educated than to stay home. Hopefully these people are sending their kids to some of the better, less crowded schools.
Anyway, I got this video in an e-mail and I thought it was really well done. I really liked how they presented the mend campaign and how you hardly even saw the product. So often I roll my eyes a little at the advertising IC puts out. I thought this was really tasteful and well done.

the website wouldn't let me embed the 2 videos I wanted to post, but they were really interesting. These people in Sweden did an experiment to see if making chores fun would lead people to do them more often. They two things they tried was choosing stairs instead of an elevator and recycling bottles

The results are pretty cool!

The Future

People have always been occupied thinking about the future. Wondering what is to come, and making predictions on how things will change and how humanity will adapt. These AT&T commercials had this prediction right on. Really interesting

thats some Nostradamus shit.

Pop at its Best

The VMAs were tonight and Apparently I missed an incredible show.
First of all, Kanye... how embarrassing for you.
Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech to say Beyonce deserved best female music video; just to later find out that Beyonce won video of the year. ouch. REALLY awkward.

Speaking of Beyonce, Sasha Fierce definitely was in full gear during her live rendition of Single Ladies. I couldn't help but be totally amazed at how Beyonce is such a strong and awesome performer. I can't believe how incredible she is over and over. She is on stage with at least 50 other dancers and upstages ALL of them.
Check out that video below

While Beyonce proved (once again) her right at the title Queen of Hip hop, there was an amazing tribute to the man that paved the way. Micheal Jackson's tribute was so tasteful and well done. Absolutely incredible. I can not believe how great it turned out. Very simple but totally powerful, and while being a huge dance number that was really larger than life, it also, to me, was very effective in making him seem like a real person. Which I thought really reflected how he was. This man is bigger than any of us can ever dream, but at the end of the day, he's still just a man. When his sister Janet got on stage for the final part of the performance everything tied together and showed his humanity.
It was really touching. I finally let it all out... I couldn't help but cry.
its incredible
love you michael<3

25.2.09

loving you is what i was trying to do

UPDATE:

The best part of this video, to me, is that
1.) she CLEARLY got dressed in all black for authenticity in her YouTube debut
2.) she wasn't alive when this movie was cool and everyone on the playground loved that song
and
3.)I'm pretty positive from what I know of being an awkward 4th grade girl, that she probably thought the kite would be a cool place to film the video because its sort of like a UFO.
Listen, I'm not gonna lie, when my friends and I were 10 and had slumber parties we'd totally do stuff like this, thankfully there was no camera and no YouTube to embarrass us with it later.

Whats G? G is for Ganja...

This is a viral video I worked on while interning with Blue Ion in Charleston, SC. It sucks that Michael Phelps lost all his money in endorsements, but it's cool that we got some satire out of it.

This is the last day of my internship and I'm proud to say this is the ultimate culmination of my efforts (haha, jk). Help me spread this by sending a link to your friends!

Ants

I guess I've been finding a lot of great videos lately, but this one is a little more serious and absolutely extraordinary. I've always been fascinated with ants. How they can do so much for how small they are. And how, similar to a person alone without any man made assistance, a single ant is practically useless and will have great difficulty surviving. But when an ant is joined he/she can go above and beyond expectations. Not only that, but it is incredible that their impressive means of survival is not just one colonial anomaly. All colonies around the world seem to have this efficient, intelligent, and practical means of surviving and thriving. All over the world ants repeatedly show their advanced skills in survival, team work, warfare, and architecture.

Although I'm not really down with how these scientists destroyed the entire thriving ant colony, what they found in this short clip is amazing.

Zach Galifianakis is probably one of the best stand up comedians around right now. He doesn't only do stand up though, there are a bunch of short youtube videos that he's done that are Hilarious! These are two of my favorites, but if you like it and don't have much else to do, clicking more of his stuff in the related videos column won't leave you disappointed.

Crazy Rock Band vid, dude playing an invisible guitar... Amazing!

I was watching some friends play Rock Band the other night, and happened to see this video today. This guy is amazing. I saw how hard it was to sing simple songs on easy level with your mouth, and he is able to keep up with a seemingly difficult song. I also thought it was clever the way he connected his theremin to the game. I want to learn the theremin...
